Your Destination of Choice: TPB to host the 16th Regional Travel Fair in Puerto Princesa City
The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, acting as the marketing and promotions arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT), is proud to announce the 16th Regional Travel Fair (RTF). Scheduled for November 14 to 16, 2025, in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, this event will bring together tourism stakeholders, exhibitors, travel trade professionals, and the public to promote domestic tourism. Attendees will experience business-matching sessions, engaging exhibitions, and cultural presentations designed to showcase Palawan’s attractions and opportunities. The fair will offer special travel packages, networking opportunities, and a platform for strengthening partnerships among tourism industry players.

The 16th Regional Travel Fair will be held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
The 16th Regional Tourism Forum (RTF) gathers leading tourism professionals, government representatives, and stakeholders from across the Philippines in a collective initiative focused on the MIMAROPA region—promoted as ‘Your Destination of Choice.’ This year’s forum highlights not only the region’s diverse destinations but also features in-depth sessions on new tourism offerings, networking opportunities, and partnership development, all designed to deepen industry engagement and promote collaborative growth.
“The 16th Regional Travel Fair gives travelers easier access to experiences that are proudly local, deeply cultural, and uniquely Filipino,” said TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles. “It is fitting to culminate this year’s Regional Travel Fair here in Palawan, one of the Philippines’ most celebrated destinations. From its lush rainforests to its white sand beaches, MIMAROPA exemplifies the natural beauty and character that define the Philippines as a world-class destination in Asia and beyond.”
The three-day event offers a robust program crafted to engage both trade partners and the public. Activities kick off on November 14 with a Business-to-Business (B2B) session at the Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa, bringing together at least 52 buyers and 53 sellers/exhibitors from MIMAROPA, covering Puerto Princesa City and the provinces of Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan. This session includes one-on-one meetings, partnership opportunities, product displays, and networking to foster business growth in the tourism sector.
On November 15 and 16, the event opens its doors to the public at Robinsons Palawan for a Business-to-Consumer (B2C) fair. Visitors can enjoy special discounts on domestic tour packages, airline tickets, and accommodations. The fair features interactive tourism showcases, live demonstrations, and cultural performances from participating DOT regional offices, local government units, and other industry stakeholders. Additional activities such as travel seminars, culinary tastings, and destination booths aim to educate and excite both travelers and local residents about MIMAROPA’s tourism offerings.

Visiting Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm
The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) will organize comprehensive familiarization tours in Puerto Princesa City and nearby municipalities, highlighting a vibrant array of sustainable community enterprises and eco-tourism attractions. These tours will include guided visits to Iwahig Penal Farm—an iconic correctional facility recognized for its innovative community-based programs, Mitra Ranch with its scenic landscapes and recreational offerings, Binuatan Creations, where guests can observe traditional weaving and craftsmanship, Delma Pearl representing Palawan’s thriving pearl industry, and Baker’s Hill, known for its local cuisine and landscaped parks.
These tours are designed to immerse participating tour operators, travel agents, media, and stakeholders in the region’s authentic lifestyle and diverse attractions. Participants will engage with local entrepreneurs, sample regional delicacies, and witness community-based tourism initiatives that underscore Palawan’s commitment to sustainable development.
The 16th Regional Travel Fair (RTF) is organized in partnership with the Provincial Government of Palawan, City Government of Puerto Princesa City, Provincial Tourism Council, Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and 2GO. The event features exhibits, business-matching sessions, educational seminars, and cultural showcases that showcase the strength and uniqueness of the MIMAROPA region’s tourism sector.
Through initiatives like the RTF, TPB demonstrates its ongoing commitment to promoting domestic tourism and championing the recovery and growth of local destinations. All stakeholders—including travel industry partners, government agencies, and tourists—are invited to participate in the 16th Regional Travel Fair in Puerto Princesa City to celebrate and experience why MIMAROPA is hailed as the Destination of Choice.
