India has emerged as an increasingly important source market, showing encouraging growth in visitor numbers. As travel advisories eased and connectivity improved, Indian travelers began returning in larger numbers. Direct flights between Delhi and Tel Aviv are expected to strengthen further access, making Israel more accessible for Indian tourists in 2026 and reinforcing the country’s global tourism connections.

Visiting friends and relatives continues to be the top reason travelers choose the country, reflecting strong familial and cultural ties. On average, tourists spent USD 1,622 per person (excluding flights) and stayed about 9.3 nights, indicating longer, more immersive visits. Business travel also strengthened, accounting for 12 percent of all trips, underscoring Israel’s growing role as a hub for conferences, corporate meetings, and professional exchanges.
