The Philippines receives another significant international accolade as White Beach in Boracay, located on Panay Island, is ranked at No. 6 in Tripadvisor’s prestigious list of the Best of the Best Beaches in Asia. This recognition highlights the island nation’s enduring appeal as a premier tropical paradise, renowned for its pristine white sands, crystal-clear waters, vibrant beachfront atmosphere, and world-class hospitality that continue to attract travelers from around the globe.

The Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title is bestowed upon destinations that consistently garner a high volume of exceptional reviews and ratings from the Tripadvisor community over a span of 12 months. This distinguished recognition places these locations within the top one percent of listings worldwide, highlighting their outstanding reputation and popularity among travelers.

Renowned for its powdery, pristine shoreline and lively coastal atmosphere, White Beach stands out as the most iconic and beloved stretch of Boracay. TripAdvisor highlights this destination as a place that attracts visitors for very good reasons: its impossibly soft, white sands inviting barefoot strolls, crystal-clear turquoise waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling, and breathtaking sunsets that paint the sky in vibrant hues each evening.

Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco celebrates the recognition that highlights Boracay’s international appeal and emphasizes its deeper importance to the livelihoods supported by tourism.

“More than the recognition, what truly matters are the lives sustained through tourism. Behind every award are thousands of Filipino workers—our boatmen, hotel staff, tour guides, transport operators, and micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs, whose livelihoods depend on a thriving and sustainable tourism industry,” the Tourism Chief said.

Stretching approximately four kilometers along the stunning western coast of Boracay, White Beach is renowned for its powdery white sands and clear blue waters. The beach is thoughtfully divided into three sections—Stations 1, 2, and 3—each offering a unique ambiance and catering to different types of visitors. Station 1 is the most upscale, attracting luxury travelers seeking exclusive resorts and fine dining.

Station 2 is the vibrant heart of the beach, perfect for leisure travelers, beach parties, and water-sports enthusiasts. Station 3 is more laid-back and family-friendly, ideal for those looking for a relaxed atmosphere and budget accommodations.

White Beach remains the pulsating core of Boracay’s thriving tourism industry, drawing crowds of visitors for swimming in calm lagoons, snorkeling over coral reefs, island-hopping expeditions, and an array of other exciting water activities that showcase the island’s natural beauty.
