Travel Madness Expo 2026 Returns with New Global Partnerships, Championing Year-Round Travel

MANILA, Philippines— The Travel Madness Expo (TME) is returning from July 10 to 12 at Halls 1 to 4 of the SMX Convention Center Manila. It invites Filipinos to explore destinations with a purpose through exclusive travel deals, broader airline and tourism collaborations, and curated experiences that highlight the cultural essence of travel, going beyond just planning the next trip.

Since its launch in 2012, the three-day expo has continually expanded into one of the nation’s top travel trade events. It serves as a direct marketplace where travelers can connect with airlines, tourism boards, authorized travel agencies, hospitality providers, and financial institutions to access exclusive travel deals and receive expert planning support.

The travel expo, held during a typically slow travel period, also aims to inspire Filipinos to explore destinations beyond the usual holiday and summer seasons by highlighting places that can be enjoyed year-round. By uniting key players from the tourism industry in one venue, the expo aims to sustain travel activity beyond peak periods, bolster the resilience of domestic tourism, and reaffirm the Philippines’ reputation as a lively, year-round travel destination offering meaningful experiences throughout the year.

Malaysia Airlines participates in this year’s event as the Official Airline Partner, and Philippine Airlines acts as the National Airline Partner. This highlights the expo’s ongoing commitment to enhancing both international links and domestic travel prospects.

The Department of Tourism’s “Discover More to Love” campaign will be highlighted during the event, supporting initiatives to showcase both well-known attractions and new destinations throughout the Philippines.

On the international stage, Travel Madness Expo 2026 features new participating destinations such as Georgia, Czech Tourism, and Papua New Guinea, while also welcoming back exhibitors from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Guam.

This year’s lineup of 179 exhibitors reflects the shifting priorities of Filipino travelers. Millennials and families still account for a large share of regional and international trips, but younger travelers are more interested in experience-based and cultural journeys. Retirees remain a key demographic for long-haul leisure trips and organized tours.

TME 2026 features the theme “Where Every Journey Tells a Story — From Madness to Memories,” and the sub-theme “The Great Revenge Travel Revival and a New Era of Globetrotting Confidence.” These themes highlight the changing attitudes of modern travelers, who are shifting from the post-pandemic “revenge travel” phase to more purposeful and immersive travel experiences focused on exploring cultures, forming meaningful connections, and planning trips thoughtfully.

“When you walk onto the expo floor, you are engaging directly with airlines, tourism boards, and accredited travel partners offering one-of-a-kind and hard to resist exclusive packages and curated itineraries,” said Ms. Paz Alberto, Chairperson of this year’s TME.

Alberto said, “many of the bundled travel deals, coordinated group packages, and promotional fares available during the expo are often unavailable through standard online booking platforms. She also emphasized the continued value of accredited travel agencies, particularly for travelers planning complex itineraries, multi-country vacations, or group tours, where professional guidance and post-booking assistance remain essential.”

“The event brings together both outbound and inbound tourism stakeholders to strengthen industry collaboration while giving Filipino travelers more opportunities to discover destinations through trusted travel partners,” Alberto added.

“When Filipinos travel abroad, they become part of a broader cultural exchange. At the same time, we continue to welcome international partners who help strengthen tourism ties and economic activity between destinations,” Alberto further explained.

Organizers aim to make this year’s Travel Madness Expo easier for travel planning by uniting airlines, tourism boards, travel agencies, hospitality providers, and financial institutions. The event also seeks to strengthen the links between Filipino travelers and various destinations within the Philippines and internationally.

Tickets and Entrance Fees

The travel event begins at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, and runs until Sunday, July 12. Tickets cost P100 for the general public and P70 for students, PWD, and senior citizens.
