LONDON – The World’s 50 Best Hotels has unveiled its inaugural extended 51-100 list, recognizing a broader selection of exceptional properties from across the globe. Voted for by The World’s 50 Best Hotels Academy, this list includes 50 hotels from 24 territories and 40 cities, expanding the prestigious awards’ reach and offering a more comprehensive guide to the world’s best hospitality.
A diverse representation from Europe, Asia, and the Americas
Europe dominates the extended list with 17 ranked hotels, including nine properties from Italy such as Hotel Cipriani at No. 72, Casa Maria Luigia at No. 82, and Portrait Milano at No. 99. Sweden’s Ett Hem (No. 89) and Turkey’s Maçakızı (No. 96) represent their countries’ first entries in the rankings since the awards launched in 2023.
Asia boasts 16 properties, with Aman Nai Lert in Bangkok leading the list at No. 51. Hong Kong and Kyoto each feature two hotels, including The Peninsula Hong Kong at No. 54 and Aman Kyoto at No. 74. Other notable inclusions from India include The Johri at No. 93 and Amanbagh at No. 100.
New Zealand also enters the 50 Best rankings for the first time, with Huka Lodge at No. 88.
North America’s dominant presence
New York leads North America’s rankings with four hotels, including The Fifth Avenue Hotel (No. 75) and The Greenwich Hotel (No. 77). Other U.S. properties on the extended list include The Beverly Hills Hotel (No. 65) and San Ysidro Ranch (No. 68). Mexico is represented by three hotels, including Four Seasons Tamarindo (No. 55) and Montage Los Cabos (No. 67).

South America’s recognition
In South America, Hotel das Cataratas in Iguassu Falls (No. 76) and Palacio Nazarenas in Cusco (No. 87), both from Belmond, secure their places on the list.

The full ranking of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 will be revealed on 30 October 2025 and livestreamed on the 50 Best YouTube channel at 20:00 UK time.
