Soundcore Space 2 deal: Our favorite budget headphones are at an all-time low price

Budget-friendly headphones aren't exactly known for delivering top-tier noise cancellation. But the Soundcore Space 2 somehow buck that trend. These affordable cans wowed our reviewer with excellent active noise-canceling (ANC) performance, while costing a fraction of what you'd pay for flagship models from Sony, Bose, and Apple.

The Space 2 typically cost $130, and they easily deliver the most powerful ANC we've heard at that price. Even at full MSRP, they're our favorite budget headphones — but right now, you can snag them for even less. The Space 2 are on sale for a record-low price of just under $107. That's an incredible value for the level of performance they offer. The discount applies to all three colorways, so you can choose between black, green, or white.

There's no telling how long this deal will last, and we're unlikely to see a lower price until Black Friday rolls around. Why we love the Soundcore Space 2 headphones

Simply put, the Soundcore Space 2 deliver noise-canceling performance that feels far more premium than it should. Most budget headphones cut corners on noise cancellation or lack it entirely. But the Space 2 are the rare pair of affordable cans that deliver ANC that doesn't suck.

In our lab and real-world tests, they did an impressive job quieting fans, airplane cabin rumble, and traffic, making them a great pick for commuting, travel, or simply finding a little peace at home. Our reviewer was especially stunned by just how well they hold their own against high-end models, like the Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2. To be clear, pricier headphones still deliver better ANC, but it's shocking just how close the Space 2 get at this price.

The Space 2 also offer clear, satisfying sound and a comfortable fit. Bass can be a bit heavy using the default settings, but that's easy to adjust in the mobile app, and the headphones' warm audio profile is pleasing to listen to.

Battery life is actually longer than that of most premium headphones. They're rated for up to 50 hours with ANC on and an incredible 70 hours with it off. In real-world use, our reviewer was able to listen to the headphones on and off for around two weeks before needing to charge them.

You also get practical conveniences that many cheaper headphones skip, including multipoint Bluetooth pairing, automatic playback pausing when you take them off, a volume limiter, and a spatial audio mode.

There are a few small trade-offs — the ear cushions can get warm over extended sessions, the button controls could be more intuitive, and they don't include a hard carrying case — but those drawbacks are easy to forgive at this price. If you want effective ANC and solid audio quality for under $150, the Space 2 are the headphones to beat.
