Stay Connected: PLDT Home Offers Free Calls to Middle East-based Filipinos
During uncertain times, hearing the familiar voice of a loved one offers more than just comfort—it’s a reassurance of presence and connection when it’s needed most. As the ongoing situation in the Middle East continues to develop and impact countless lives, PLDT Home remains dedicated to providing reliable communication services that ensure families stay connected, share their support, and find solace in each other’s voices when it matters most.

PLDT Home: Free Calls to Filipinos in Middle East
To assist Filipino families during these uncertain times, PLDT Home has enabled free International Direct Dial (IDD) calls for subscribers in the Philippines to connect with loved ones in affected areas.
From March 1 to 7, PLDT Home subscribers can make free international calls from their landlines to the countries with the following area codes:
- Bahrain: +973
- Kuwait: +965
- Iraq: +964
- Oman: +968
- Qatar: +974
- Saudi Arabia: +966
- United Arab Emirates: +971
- Israel: +972
- Iran: +98
To initiate an international direct-dialing (IDD) call, subscribers must dial the exit code “00”, then the destination country code, the area or mobile network code, and finally the local phone number. There is no limit on the number of IDD calls a subscriber can make in a single day, and each call can last up to 30 minutes.
By waiving these international charges, PLDT Home provides an affordable and accessible way for families residing in the Philippines to stay connected with their loved ones abroad. This initiative allows them to communicate, offer reassurance, and share updates without the concern of additional costs, fostering stronger international relationships and emotional bonds.
PLDT Chairman, President, and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan announced support via an X post, stating, “The marching order is to make it easy for our countrymen to reach their loved ones and vice versa.”
The PLDT Group has also set up its dedicated 24/7 Smart crisis hotline, available for individuals seeking to connect with their loved ones at home. The hotline can be reached at +63288457799. Additionally, for overseas Filipinos, there is a free service available through the DMW-OWWA 1348 hotline, which can be accessed via PLDT Global’s TinBo app, ensuring easy and continuous communication during times of need.
