PIATA and PATA Philippines Launch “ERA: Healing Hearts” Fundraising Concert for Cebu Calamity Survivors

Manila, Philippines — The Philippine IATA Agents Travel Association (PIATA) and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Philippines Chapter proudly announce ERA: Healing Hearts, their inaugural collaborative fundraising concert designed to deliver both financial support and emotional healing to survivors of recent disasters in Cebu.

On December 10, 2025, at 7:00 PM, the RJ Dusit Thani will host this meaningful event, headlined by the iconic Ms. Lou Bonnevie and an array of celebrated Filipino artists. The program will feature a mix of performances and messages of resilience, with proceeds going towards comprehensive aid for communities devastated by the Bogo earthquake and typhoons in Cotcot, Liloan, and Talisay.

This historic partnership between PIATA and PATA Philippines represents an unprecedented approach—combining entertainment, mental health advocacy, and humanitarian outreach. In addition to raising funds, the event will provide on-site counseling and connect survivors with ongoing relief resources. There will also be exhibits and collaborations with mental health professionals aiming to foster awareness and support long-term recovery.

The concert and its outreach activities are made possible by the generous contributions of PAGCOR, SABRE, Bluewater Resorts, and China Airlines. These partners exemplify the power of cross-sector collaboration in supporting disaster-stricken communities and advancing mental health initiatives.

ERA: Healing Hearts encourages everyone to unite in compassion, share in the healing process, and help build a network of sustained support for those most in need.

Natural disasters leave behind not only destroyed homes, landscapes, and infrastructure, but also hidden emotional wounds that can last far longer. Survivors—both children and adults—frequently face ongoing challenges such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and overwhelming grief. These invisible scars often make it difficult to rebuild daily life and regain a sense of normalcy.

To offer meaningful help, a carefully assembled team of therapists, counselors, and psychologists will conduct a three-day therapy initiative in Bogo. This program is designed to address the needs of both young people and adults. It features structured support such as individual and group therapy sessions, creative workshops for children that use play and art to process trauma, and skills-based seminars for adults on coping strategies and emotional health. The environment will be supportive, confidential, and focused on helping participants express themselves, process their experiences, and renew their hope for the future.

This effort is a central focus of ERA: Healing Hearts, organized by PIATA and the PATA Philippines Chapter. Beyond raising funds, the program aims to highlight the essential need for accessible mental health care in disaster-hit communities. An upcoming benefit concert—featuring local and national artists, sponsors, and community leaders—will unite everyone in a memorable night of music and sharing.
