NEWH, Inc. (Network of Executive Women in Hospitality) has announced the launch of its third annual Martha’s Mentors Program, a 10-month initiative designed to support rising talent in the hospitality industry through mentorship, education, and networking.
Applications are now open until November 15, 2025, for early-career professionals seeking to take part in the program, which pairs mentees with experienced hospitality leaders. The program honors the legacy of Martha Tillim (1942–2023), a respected industry mentor and former board member of NEWH’s Washington D.C. Program structure and focus
Mentees and mentors meet for monthly 70-minute sessions, focusing on:
- Career advancement: Developing practical skills and strategies to grow within the hospitality sector.
- Leadership development: Strengthening leadership capacity in both mentees and mentors.
- Industry knowledge: Sharing critical insights on market trends and operational best practices.
- Networking: Expanding professional circles to support long-term career growth.
In addition, participants are encouraged to contribute 10 hours of volunteer service with NEWH during their mentorship year, reinforcing the program’s emphasis on community and professional engagement.
Eligibility and participation
Mentees must be active NEWH members with fewer than five years of professional experience. Selection will be based on passion for the industry, demonstrated commitment, and potential for leadership. NEWH is also inviting seasoned hospitality professionals to apply as mentors, offering an opportunity to guide the next generation while benefiting from mutual exchange and professional enrichment.
