Marriott Bonvoy launches Outdoors platform and Outdoor Collection brand
Marriott Bonvoy has introduced a new Outdoors platform and the Outdoor Collection brand, connecting travelers to curated outdoor stays, activities, and experiences across North America and beyond.
Marriott International has unveiled Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors, a new digital platform designed to connect travelers to outdoor-focused stays, curated activities, and adventure experiences. The launch is accompanied by the debut of the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy, a dedicated brand portfolio of properties with direct access to nature.
The platform allows travelers to search across 450 hotels, 50,000 Homes & Villas, and curated Tours & Activities focused on outdoor categories such as skiing, hiking, biking, scuba diving, surfing, fishing, and paddling. Properties featured include W Verbier in Switzerland, Moxy Banff in Canada, and Alaia Belize, Autograph Collection, which offer direct access to key outdoor experiences.
Outdoor Collection debut
The Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy launches with two brands: Postcard Cabins and Trailborn Hotels.
- Postcard Cabins features more than 1,200 Scandinavian-inspired cabins across 29 U.S. locations, typically within two hours of major cities, offering fire pits, trails, and lakeside access.
- Trailborn Hotels brings boutique hospitality to destinations such as the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Grand Canyon, and Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, blending local design with curated food and cultural programming alongside guided outdoor excursions.
To support the launch, Marriott Bonvoy partnered with adventurer and filmmaker Dylan Efron on the Drop Pin Challenge, a treasure hunt spanning 20 outdoor destinations in the U.S. and Canada. A total of 10 million Marriott Bonvoy points are available, with the first 50 eligible participants at each pin location earning 10,000 points.
Curated outdoor experiences and Moments
Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors will also integrate with Marriott Bonvoy Moments, offering exclusive outdoor adventures in partnership with Outside Interactive. Initial highlights include a hike and kayak experience along Kauai’s coastline, snorkeling in Belize, kayaking in the Maldives, and other tailored adventure packages. A 1-point drop Moment with Dylan Efron is planned for November, with more experiences to be announced through 2026.
“We built Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors to help people, whether that’s cresting a mountain trail, catching the perfect wave, or simply finding quiet under the stars,” said Peggy Roe, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, Marriott International. “Travel is at its best when it speaks to who we are and what we love. It’s about reconnecting with yourself and the people you love in the places that inspire you most. With the new Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy, our curated Marriott Bonvoy Moments, and even playful activations like the Drop Pin Challenge with Dylan Efron, we’re not just offering places to stay, we’re opening doors to experiences that inspire, connect, and stay with you forever.”
For the hospitality and travel trade, Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors represents a step into experience-driven tourism, leveraging the strength of its loyalty program while tapping into the growing demand for outdoor-focused, sustainable, and activity-based travel.
The new platform and Outdoor Collection aim to redefine how travelers engage with nature, transforming trips into immersive adventures while expanding Marriott’s footprint in lifestyle-oriented hospitality.
