Lufthansa partners with SIXT for First Class limousine service and launches new fashion-focused destination guides

Lufthansa has partnered with SIXT to enhance its First Class limousine service in Frankfurt and Munich, while also launching new Fashion Guides connecting European creatives with global design communities.

Lufthansa has entered a new partnership with premium mobility provider SIXT to upgrade its exclusive First Class Limousine Service at Frankfurt and Munich airports. The cooperation expands the range of premium vehicles available for First Class guests and HON Circle Members who are driven directly to and from the aircraft.

A total of 40 SIXT vehicles are now in operation across the two hubs. The fleet includes various premium models co-branded with Lufthansa and SIXT logos and marked “Lufthansa Shuttle Service”.

Heiko Reitz, Member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Airlines and Hub Manager Munich, said: “We are delighted to have gained a strong partner for our First Class limousine service in SIXT. The cooperation enables us to offer our First Class guests and HON Circle Members an even wider selection of premium vehicles for this popular service. This allows us to better respond to our guests’ growing needs for more flexibility and more individualized solutions as part of our premium ground services.”

Vinzenz Pflanz, Member of the Management Board and Chief Business Officer of Sixt SE, added: “SIXT and Lufthansa have enjoyed a trusting partnership in various areas for many years, based on a shared understanding of quality, service, and premium experience. The cooperation for the limousine service is further proof of this trust and our commitment to offering customers maximum comfort and a seamless travel experience.”

Lufthansa introduces fashion-inspired destination guides

Also, Lufthansa has also launched a new initiative aimed at creative travellers. In collaboration with emerging European fashion talent, the airline has produced a series of Fashion Guides that explore long-haul destinations through local design, culture and creative communities.

Rather than following traditional tourist itineraries, the guides highlight lesser-known districts, independent designers, and fashion-driven cultural experiences. Each guide pairs a European creator with a local fashion designer to co-explore the destination.

The first four Fashion Guides feature:

  • Bengaluru, India: UK influencer Mark Frost with SNOB designers Mani Shanker Singh and Ritu Jain
  • Tokyo, Japan: Italian creator Federica Delsale with Open Sesame Club designer Miho Ogata
  • Mexico City, Mexico: French creator Florette Nacer with designer Carla Fernández
  • Johannesburg, South Africa: Spanish designer Carmen Farala with Thando Ntuli-Sommie of Munkus

Michael Knapp, Head of EMEA Marketing at Lufthansa Group, said: “With this initiative, we aim to inspire fashion enthusiasts to discover the unique spirit of each destination — by connecting with local fashion communities, discovering emerging designers, and uncovering hidden gems. Our flights don’t just connect cities — they connect people and cultures, and ideas. And in this case, also creativity.”

The dual announcement highlights Lufthansa’s efforts to enhance premium travel services while developing new cultural and lifestyle-led content to engage travellers beyond the flight experience.
