Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs joins Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back program
Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs has joined Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back initiative, donating $1 per stay to Friends of the Desert Mountains to support conservation and community engagement.
PALM SPRINGS, CALIF. – Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs has joined the Every Stay Gives Back program developed by Kind Traveler, a responsible travel platform that connects hotels with local nonprofit organizations. Through the initiative, the hotel will donate $1 per guest stay to Friends of the Desert Mountains, a nonprofit dedicated to the conservation of the Coachella Valley.
Located in downtown Palm Springs, the 153-room boutique property becomes part of a growing network of hotels adopting measurable community impact initiatives. Funds donated through the program will directly support land preservation, environmental education and trail stewardship in the region.
Friends of the Desert Mountains serves as the official nonprofit partner of the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument. Since 1987, the organization has:
- Protected 63,000 acres of desert habitat
- Built and restored over 310 miles of recreational trails
- Helped conserve 27 threatened and endangered species
Under the new partnership, 100% of donations go directly to the nonprofit. Kind Traveler states that every $10 raised enables two individuals to participate in guided educational desert walks, reinforcing community connection to local landscapes.
A model for destination stewardship
Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back program supports destination stewardship and regenerative tourism principles, creating a verified donation structure between hotels and local NGOs. Each participating property is assigned a local cause, and monthly contributions are tracked through a live ESGB (Environmental, Social, Governance + Biodiversity) dashboard. The dashboard also provides travelers with access to impact metrics and education on responsible travel practices.
