Iloilo Business Park once again stands out as a key center in the country’s push for sustainable urban development, hosting the 12th Iloilo Bike Festival this June. This annual event showcases the city’s dedication to eco-friendly transportation and celebrates its lively cycling culture. Now recognized as one of the Philippines’ top active lifestyle events, the festival brings together everyday commuters, elite cyclists, families, and fitness enthusiasts to celebrate movement—solidifying Iloilo’s reputation as a leading bike-friendly city in the nation.

A City In Motion

The festival begins on June 5 with Bike to Work Day, encouraging the city’s workforce to adopt cycling as a useful and intentional transportation option. Then, at 8:00 AM, the official opening ceremony takes place in Park Square, kicking off a month-long series of events that celebrate mobility as a shared cultural and community activity.

Throughout June, Iloilo Business Park transforms into a vibrant hub of cycling experiences. The Bike Exhibit at Festive Walk Iloilo offers an interactive showcase of cycling culture and innovations, while the Bike Food Crawl along the Festive Walk Parade turns the township’s dining area into a curated adventure for riders and visitors. Java Road hosts the Mega Criterium Race on June 13 and 14, where competitive cyclists test their speed and endurance on a dynamic urban circuit.

Community, Culture, and Competition

The festival broadens its scope with inclusive activities that honor all ages and cycling skill levels. On June 20, the Push Bike Race at the Transport Hub emphasizes young riders and aims to introduce the new generation to cycling within a lively, family-friendly setting.

On June 21 at Park Square, Iloilo Duathlon 2.0 kicks off with an endurance event that blends running and cycling. In the afternoon, the area turns into a cultural venue featuring the Battle of the Bands. Later, thousands of cyclists participate in the Grand Fun Ride—a citywide parade symbolizing unity and collective movement. The event wraps up with the 12th Bike Festival Awards and Closing Ceremony, concluding a month-long celebration.

From June 24 to 27, the Electric Car and Solar Show will take place along the Festive Walk Parade, highlighting innovations in clean mobility and sustainable transport technologies.

A Future-Ready City

The festival at Iloilo Business Park exemplifies a long-term dedication to developing communities centered on accessibility, mobility, and shared public spaces. Covering a 72-hectare masterplanned area, the township features pedestrian walkways, cycling paths, and interconnected destinations, serving not just as an event space but as an active contributor to Iloilo’s growing mobility culture.

The Iloilo Bike Festival, achieved through ongoing collaboration between the public and private sectors, highlights the city’s evolution into a community where urban development, environmental sustainability, and social life progress hand in hand.
