Hyatt Regency San Francisco appoints new executive chef to lead culinary operations

Hyatt Regency San Francisco has appointed Gregory Grohowski as Executive Chef, with responsibility for all culinary operations and future menu development across the hotel’s dining outlets.

 

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – Hyatt Regency San Francisco has named Gregory Grohowski as its new Executive Chef. He will oversee all culinary operations at the hotel, including banqueting and the Embarcadero property’s dining outlets such as Eclipse Kitchen & Bar, the Regency Club, the Market, and the soon-to-launch in-room dining service.

Chef Grohowski brings more than 30 years of experience within Hyatt and across luxury hospitality. His previous roles include senior culinary positions at Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, and Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa. Most recently, he served as Area Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Irvine in Southern California.

As part of his remit, he will guide menu development with a focus on seasonal ingredients and regional sourcing. Initial updates have already been introduced, including a fall-themed menu at Eclipse Kitchen & Bar highlighting local produce.

Hotel management noted that his background within the brand and familiarity with large-scale culinary operations are expected to support the hotel’s strategy to strengthen its food and beverage offering for both guests and the local market.

This appointment reflects the continued emphasis on culinary leadership and local relevance in hotel dining, particularly in competitive urban markets such as San Francisco.
