Hyatt expands Secrets Resorts & Spas portfolio with opening of Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa

Hyatt has opened Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa in the Cancun Hotel Zone, strengthening the brand’s footprint across Latin America and the Caribbean with a new adults-only, all-inclusive beachfront property.

CHICAGO – Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa, the latest addition to the growing Secrets Resorts & Spas brand. Located in Cancun’s renowned Hotel Zone, the adults-only, all-inclusive resort supports the brand’s continued expansion across Latin America and the Caribbean, following recent openings in St. Lucia, Aruba and Miches in the Dominican Republic.

Situated just eight miles from Cancun International Airport, the property lies between the Caribbean Sea’s blue waters and the tranquil Nichupté Lagoon, offering expansive views of white sand beaches and the region’s natural beauty.

“We are proud to officially celebrate the opening of Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa,” said Federico Echaiz, General Manager of the resort. “With a prime location on a serene stretch of beach on Cancun’s Hotel Zone and close access to the region’s rich history, we look forward to having our guests relax, reconnect and immerse themselves in the beauty and culture of the Yucatan.”

Culinary experiences play a central role at the resort, which features eight restaurants offering French, Mediterranean, Asian and steakhouse concepts, all without reservations. Guests may book private dining under the stars or in exclusive wine and agave cellars for an additional charge. Six bars and lounges, including a swim-up bar, sushi bar and nightly music lounge, serve premium domestic and international beverages, alongside interactive activities such as cocktail-making sessions.

The expansive Secrets Spa, opening at a later date, will draw inspiration from ancient Mayan practices, offering rituals and treatments using natural ingredients and healing techniques. A serene pool will provide an additional space for rest and rejuvenation.

For weddings and events, the resort offers flexible indoor and outdoor venues, including a 2,800-square-foot ballroom and a 967-square-foot pre-function foyer. Event managers provide tailored support, with all-inclusive packages designed to streamline planning for ceremonies, receptions and corporate functions.

Sustainability initiatives are integrated into daily operations, including soap recycling, plastic cap collection programs supporting local health efforts, community-driven recycling activities and a focus on locally sourced ingredients and regional artwork. These actions reflect the resort’s commitment to responsible tourism and long-term environmental stewardship.
