Grupo Posadas closes 2025 with strong trading results, a 34-hotel development pipeline and new brands, reinforcing its position in Mexico and the Caribbean ahead of further expansion in 2026.
Grupo Posadas, Mexico’s leading hotel operator, is entering 2026 with solid momentum, underpinned by strong 2025 performance, a sizable development pipeline, and an evolving brand strategy focused on purposeful growth.
With more than 200 hotels and 29,922 rooms across key city and beach destinations, the company strengthened its results in 2025 and now moves into the new year with one of its most significant pipelines to date. Posadas is advancing 34 hotels in development and more than 4,800 additional rooms, representing an investment exceeding $880 million USD.
The group’s strategy is based on disciplined expansion, improved efficiency and a clear focus on guest and employee experience. Through its alliance with Medallia, Posadas now measures and manages guest and team feedback in real time, achieving a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 64, well above global (44) and Latin American (33) hospitality averages.
“Posadas is a company with over five decades of history that has evolved without losing its essence: innovation, excellence, and a deep commitment to Mexico,” said Javier Barrera, Vice President of Strategy and Human Capital. “We move forward with a clear vision toward 2026: grow with purpose, expand responsibly, and generate economic value with social, cultural, and environmental impact.”
2025: growth, brand consolidation and ESG focus
In 2025, Posadas continued to work around four strategic pillars: growth, agility, profitability and collaborative culture. At the same time, it advanced its digital transformation and ESG commitments.
The company earned top placement in the Merco 2025 reputation ranking for the tourism sector and received the Hydro-Sustainable Hotel distinction from Fundación Helvex. Talent and inclusion initiatives also expanded, supported by programs such as ADN Posadas Leader and literacy and vocational training delivered across multiple Mexican states.
At brand level, Posadas introduced new concepts designed to upgrade the guest experience. Invitta, a culinary and mixology program developed with Chef Gerardo Rivera, is being rolled out to enhance restaurants and bar offerings across key brands. The expansion of Esencia Viva, Posadas’ wellbeing program, strengthened the positioning of Live Aqua, Grand Fiesta Americana and Fiesta Americana in the luxury and lifestyle segment.
Brand health studies conducted with Kantar confirm the company’s leadership in awareness and differentiation, at a time when traveler preferences are shifting toward more emotional, purpose-driven and experience-focused stays.
2025 openings and regional footprint
During 2025, Posadas expanded its presence across lifestyle, luxury and city segments with openings including:
- Devossion by Live Aqua Playa del Carmen
- Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit
- One Ciudad Juárez Alameda
- Fiesta Americana Hacienda Ixtapan de la Sal
- Gamma Toluca
- Gamma Mazatlán Centro Histórico
- Curamoria Casa Lucila Mazatlán
- Fiesta Inn Mérida Altabrisa
These additions reinforce Posadas’ footprint in key resort and business markets, offering the travel trade more branded options in established and emerging destinations.
2026 pipeline in Mexico and the Caribbean
Looking ahead, the group will continue to grow across Mexico and the Caribbean with new projects that include:
- Fiesta Americana Funeeq Punta Cana
- Live Aqua Centro Histórico
- Grand Fiesta Americana Riviera Cancún
- Fiesta Inn Querétaro Aeropuerto
- One Mazatlán Centro Histórico
- Sunvivia by Fiesta Americana, the company’s newest lifestyle and wellbeing-focused brand
For tour operators, OTAs, TMCs and MICE planners, this means additional capacity in high-demand leisure and city markets, and new products to position in their portfolios.
Sunvivia by Fiesta Americana: a new wellbeing brand
A key highlight for 2026 is Sunvivia Mazatlán by Fiesta Americana, which will debut the new Sunvivia by Fiesta Americana brand and its All in Joy concept. The resort will feature 177 residential-style suites across four oceanfront towers, multiple pools and jacuzzis, diverse culinary options, extensive meeting space, and a full spa and wellness offering. All elements are aligned with Posadas’ ESG commitments.

Sunvivia is designed for travelers seeking a balance of wellbeing, entertainment and family connection. As Enrique Calderón, Vice President of Hotel Operations, explains: “The introduction of Sunvivia by Fiesta Americana expands our portfolio with a fresh, approachable brand designed for guests who wish to embrace every moment with joy and confidence.”
Calderón also notes that purpose-driven brands are becoming increasingly important, deepening the connection between travelers and the destinations they visit while supporting Posadas’ mission to make the world a better place to travel.
Outlook for the travel trade
As Posadas progresses toward a more fully integrated, world-class hospitality model, it remains focused on innovation, digital tools, social impact and targeted expansion in high-growth markets. For travel trade professionals, the group’s strategy translates into a broader range of brands and destinations, clearer segmentation across price and experience levels, and a continued emphasis on service quality backed by strong satisfaction and reputation metrics.
