EL AL launches “EL AL Young” to build early loyalty among the next generation of travelers
EL AL has launched EL AL Young, a new loyalty initiative for travelers aged 2–18, offering app-based engagement, games, and points that remain valid until age 21.
NEW YORK – EL AL Israel Airlines has launched EL AL Young, a new initiative aimed at engaging travelers aged 2 to 18 through a dedicated app experience and tailored benefits within the Matmid Frequent Flyer Program. The move positions the airline to strengthen early brand affinity while offering families additional value and smoother digital interaction.

The program introduces a Youth Mode within the airline’s mobile app, offering a child-friendly interface where young passengers can watch videos, play games, and learn about aviation. At the same time, participants begin collecting loyalty points independently, creating an early pathway into EL AL’s wider loyalty ecosystem.
“EL AL Young is a game-changer for family travel, while making every journey more fun and engaging,” said Nadav Hanin, VP Marketing and Digital. “With this program, EL AL Airlines is inspiring the next generation of travelers by allowing them to earn their own points, explore Youth Mode on the EL AL app, and enjoy more independence and excitement when traveling with EL AL. Family travel has always been at the heart of our business, and with EL AL Young, we’re strengthening that bond while creating unforgettable adventures for travelers of all ages.”

Enrollment is available for children as young as two years old. Once registered, young travelers can access curated content, play games both on the ground and in-flight, and earn points when flying with EL AL or Sundor. These points can later be redeemed for rewards such as seat upgrades, free checked baggage, award tickets with friends, and onboard duty-free items.
The airline also plans to introduce additional promotions in the coming months to help participants earn more points and secure fare savings. Parents may register multiple children at no cost and track each child’s activity through dedicated accounts. Notably, points earned through EL AL Young will remain valid until participants reach the age of 21, offering significant flexibility in how rewards are accumulated and redeemed.
