DoubleTree by Hilton Boston-Andover has completed an extensive $6 million renovation aimed at redefining the guest experience from arrival to check-out. Beginning in November 2024, the project refreshed the entire property, including the lobby, flexible meeting rooms, guest accommodations, dining venues, and social areas. The hotel stayed open throughout the upgrades, renovating one floor at a time to maintain uninterrupted service for visitors.
The redesign, crafted by Baskervill, takes inspiration from the scenic beauty of Andover’s Ward Reservation, featuring Holt Hill, the tallest point in Essex County. The hotel’s new aesthetic captures the essence of the surrounding natural landscapes while introducing modern design elements that balance sophistication with comfort.
Central to the renovation is the concept of “unplugged exploration,” designed to encourage guests to unwind and connect with the tranquil environment. This approach creates a sense of calm and adventure, inviting visitors to experience the hotel as a retreat where nature and modern comfort coexist seamlessly.
Throughout the property, organic textures and contemporary style harmonize to create an inviting atmosphere. Charcoal and teal accents complement warm earth tones, reflecting the region’s natural terrain. Every space, from the lobby to guest rooms, has been thoughtfully updated to offer both aesthetic appeal and functional comfort for business and leisure travelers alike.
With this transformation, DoubleTree by Hilton Boston-Andover now presents a rejuvenated, nature-inspired environment that elevates every aspect of the guest journey. The renovation ensures a harmonious blend of modern amenities, stylish design, and connection to the surrounding landscapes, making each stay memorable and relaxing.
“This transformation represents our commitment to creating spaces that are both inspiring and comfortable for every guest,” said Bob Anderson, President of Linchris Hotel Corporation, the owner and management company of DoubleTree by Hilton Boston-Andover. “By drawing on the natural beauty of Andover, we’ve created an experience that blends contemporary design with a sense of place, making every guest feel at home.”
Visitors to DoubleTree by Hilton Boston-Andover will instantly notice a lighter, more inviting ambiance throughout the hotel. Modernized seating, refreshed carpeting, and thoughtfully curated contemporary artwork create a stylish, welcoming environment, while a dedicated art program featuring local Merrimack Valley artists highlights the region’s landmarks and strengthens the hotel’s community connection.
The hotel’s upgraded meeting and event spaces now offer flexible, functional settings suitable for corporate events, conferences, and social gatherings. Guest rooms and common areas have been redesigned with comfort and versatility in mind, catering to business travelers, vacationing families, and group bookings alike, ensuring every stay is both relaxing and stylish.
To showcase the transformation, the hotel will host an open-house celebration on Thursday, November 6, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at its lobby bar. Attendees can enjoy hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and guided tours of the newly refreshed spaces, offering a chance to explore the modern interiors and engage with the hotel team in a lively, welcoming setting.
Situated at 123 Old River Road in Andover, MA, DoubleTree by Hilton Boston-Andover provides convenient access to Boston and southern New Hampshire. The property combines modern design with a warm, community-focused atmosphere, giving guests a memorable experience whether traveling for business or leisure.
