Crystal Cruises has launched bookings for its 2028 winter and spring season, offering a series of luxurious voyages on the acclaimed Crystal Serenity. Spanning January through April, the season presents travellers with an extraordinary combination of tropical islands, river expeditions, and a transatlantic journey to the Azores, blending adventure, cultural discovery, and refined cruising experiences.
The season begins with round-trip sailings from Fort Lauderdale to the Caribbean, visiting some of the region’s most captivating destinations. Guests can explore the British Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica, each offering pristine beaches, vibrant local culture, and unique historical sites. The itineraries are designed to balance time at sea with immersive onshore experiences, including guided tours, local cuisine tastings, and water-based adventures such as snorkeling, kayaking, and sailing excursions.
February features a highlight for adventure seekers: a 25-day Amazon River expedition. This journey provides guests with rare access to the rainforest’s biodiversity, visiting Manaus and remote riverside communities. The voyage immerses travellers in the life of local inhabitants while revealing the spectacular landscapes and wildlife of one of the world’s most iconic ecosystems. During the same month, the Caribbean Grand Circle voyage commences, covering 14 islands and five Central American countries. This extensive itinerary allows travellers to experience the full richness of the Caribbean’s natural beauty, history, and culture in a single journey.
March voyages focus on warm-water Caribbean and Central American destinations, including Cartagena in Colombia, Roatán in Honduras, and Belize. These ports offer a mix of cultural heritage, eco-adventures, and leisure opportunities, ranging from exploring colonial-era streets to diving among vibrant coral reefs. April sailings include Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and the Dominican Republic, culminating in a transatlantic journey to the Azores. This special crossing coincides with the spring migration of baleen whales, including blue, fin, and sei whales, offering travellers a rare chance to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural environment. The season concludes in Lisbon, where Crystal Serenity will enter a scheduled dry dock.
Adding to the excitement, Crystal Cruises will debut its newest ship, Crystal Grace, in 2028. The vessel will launch on 11 June, sailing from Rome to Venice and spending the summer exploring the Mediterranean. Following the European season, Crystal Grace will cross the Atlantic to New York to offer itineraries along the U.S. Northeast and Canada before returning to the Caribbean for the winter season. Bookings for Crystal Grace open in April 2026, with a waiting list available for early reservations.
Crystal Grace introduces all-suite accommodations with innovative layouts, enhanced storage solutions, and expansive wraparound verandas, a first for the cruise line. These design features offer a seamless connection between indoor living spaces and the ocean, ensuring guests enjoy comfort, privacy, and panoramic views throughout their journey.
The 2028 itineraries emphasize meaningful travel experiences, combining natural wonders, cultural immersion, and relaxed exploration. From the vibrant landscapes of the Amazon rainforest to the idyllic beaches of the Caribbean and the migratory waters of the Azores, each voyage allows guests to engage deeply with the destination while enjoying luxurious accommodations and thoughtful onboard amenities.
Crystal Cruises’ 2028 winter and spring programme caters to travellers seeking both adventure and indulgence. Each itinerary delivers a unique blend of exploration, culture, and relaxation, offering memorable experiences across diverse destinations. Whether discovering tropical islands, venturing along the Amazon, or observing wildlife in the Azores, these voyages promise a rich and unforgettable travel experience.
With expansive itineraries, distinctive destinations, and a focus on immersive travel, Crystal Cruises continues to set the standard for luxury exploration at sea, offering guests the opportunity to experience the world with elegance, comfort, and discovery at every turn.
