Hilton (NYSE: HLT) proudly announces the grand opening of the Canopy by Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort, marking the brand’s inaugural resort in the Asia Pacific region. This exceptional property offers guests a unique experience that combines Canopy’s signature locally inspired design with vibrant social spaces and a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Nestled on the stunning and world-renowned Miyako Island, renowned for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush natural beauty, the resort promises an immersive escape where guests can enjoy genuine Okinawan hospitality amid one of Japan’s most breathtaking island destinations.

Located in Miyako Island City’s lively Twuriba district, Canopy Okinawa Miyako Island Resort is about a 15-minute drive from Miyako Airport and roughly 25 minutes from Miyako Shimojishima Airport. The resort provides guests with quick access to Miyako Island’s busy downtown, famous for its vibrant markets and local foods. It’s also close to the Irabu Ohashi Bridge, making travel across the island easy. This excellent spot puts guests near some of Miyako Island’s most beautiful coastal sights, including untouched beaches, clear turquoise waters, and scenic viewpoints that highlight the island’s natural charm.

The resort features 306 guest rooms, from 35-square-meter Guest Rooms and Deluxe Rooms with private balconies, to large 102-square-meter Suites with separate living and sleeping areas. Designed for various travel preferences, each of the 11 room types provides a cozy and welcoming haven, enabling guests to relax and enjoy the island’s laid-back atmosphere.

Four refined dining and social venues throughout the resort are inspired by Miyako Island’s seasonal ingredients and Okinawan cuisine, encouraging guests to transition effortlessly from laid-back daytime activities to lively evening gatherings.
The MA-SANS BEACH HOUSE features a breezy, naturally lit environment that transforms across the day, starting with a rich breakfast buffet, moving to customizable poke bowls for lunch, and Japanese tapas for dinner. Each meal is enhanced with fresh ingredients, making ordinary dining an exceptional experience.

CHIIKII
Grill restaurant CHIIKII highlights locally sourced ingredients at their peak season, while SUNBEAR DAY CLUB transforms into a vibrant social hub where guests gather on the rooftop for music, tropical cocktails, and light bites, offering sweeping views of the Irabu Ohashi Bridge and Miyako’s sunsets. Starting in May 2026, visitors will also be able to enjoy THE ROUND, an outdoor lawn with private seating designed for barbecues and parties.
