Bilt Travel portal: How to redeem and transfer points for flights and hotels
From earning to redeeming points, here's the full guide to the Bilt travel portal and how you can earn and redeem Bilt points on flights, hotels and more.
If you're in the Bilt program, you'll want to get to know the Bilt Travel portal.
This portal is a platform for Bilt members to earn and redeem valuable Bilt Points on flights, hotel stays and Blade helicopter rides. Per TPG's March 2026 valuations, Bilt points are deemed the most valuable rewards currency on the market, placed at a whopping 2.2 cents apiece.
Remember, you don't have to hold a Bilt card to earn Bilt points or use its travel portal (though you will enjoy a few added perks in the portal if you hold a Bilt card). You only have to sign up for the Bilt program to be a member.
Let's dive into the Bilt Travel portal and see what it offers.
What is the Bilt Travel portal?
The Bilt Travel portal is where Bilt members go to book travel. You can book with a linked credit card and earn Bilt points on your reservations, or redeem your Bilt points toward travel in the portal.
You'll earn 2 points per dollar on hotels and 1 point per dollar on flights or Blade bookings when using any linked card. If you use a Bilt credit card, you can stack those earnings with the portal rates for even more points.
| Card | Earnings from the card | Total earnings on Bilt Travel portal purchases | Annual fee |

Bilt points can be redeemed at a fixed 1.25 cents apiece for flights, hotels and Blade helicopter rides. However, since TPG's valuations place Bilt points at 2.2 cents apiece, you're often better off transferring them to one of the program's 25 transfer partners.
Previously, you could book activities and car rentals through the portal, but these options appear to have been removed from the site.

How to access the Bilt Travel portal
To access the Bilt travel portal, you have two choices:
- Using the Bilt app
- Visiting bilt.com/rewards/travel and signing in to your Bilt account

BILT
On both the app and website, you can book flights, hotel stays and Blade helicopter rides. You can also transfer your Bilt points to its loyalty program partners.

How to book flights through the Bilt Travel portal
First, let's go over booking flights. You can book flights through Bilt's app or its website.
To start a search, enter your arrival and departure airports, travel dates and number of travelers, then hit "Search." You can book either round-trip or one-way itineraries.
In this example, I'll search for a round-trip flight from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).

BILT
Once you run the search, you'll see the option to "Show basic fares," which you can toggle on or off for more restrictive tickets. You can sort by price, length of the flight, departure time, arrival time, number of stops, airlines and cabin class.

BILT
After you select a flight and class, you'll see more options to book different fares within that cabin, as well as each option's cash and Bilt points redemption rates.

BILT
Once you choose your fare, you'll be taken to a page to enter your traveler information, including your airline loyalty program number. On the payment page, you'll see a choice to book with a card linked to your Bilt account (you'll earn 1 Bilt point per dollar spent on airline purchases via the portal, in addition to the travel earning rate on your card) or the option to pay with points.
You can apply any number of points you'd like toward your booking, up to the total price of your flight.

BILT
Searching for transfer availability in the portal
If you search for a one-way flight in the Bilt Travel portal, you'll see an option to view "Award availability" alongside the cash and Bilt point redemption rates on the results page. This feature is available on the website or the app.
This feature is powered by Points Path and shows the number of points you'd need to transfer to one of Bilt's partners in order to book that flight, in addition to the cash rate and the rate for booking with Bilt points in the portal.
Let's analyze flight options from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to Portland International Airport (PDX).

BILT
These are fantastic examples of when it's best to book through the portal and when it's best to transfer to a partner, such as Atmos Rewards. If you'd prefer to fly direct in economy, it makes more sense to transfer 15,000 Bilt points at a 1:1 ratio to Atmos than redeeming 21,472 points in the Bilt Travel portal for the same ticket (roughly 1.25 cents per point).
If you use 15,000 Atmos Rewards points to book this $268 flight, you're getting 1.79 cents per point in value, which exceeds TPG's valuation of Atmos Rewards points at 1.5 cents. So, this would be a solid redemption.
On the other hand, if you prefer the longer itinerary with a connection in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), it makes more sense to redeem 24,736 points through the portal than it does to transfer 48,000 points to Atmos Rewards.
In my experience transferring Bilt points, I've found that most transfers are made instantly. However, always keep in mind that transfer times may not be immediate for all partners.

How to book hotel stays through the Bilt Travel portal
Booking hotels follows the same process as flights, whether you use the app or website.
In this example, we'll search for hotels in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

BILT
You can filter by price, rating and amenities.
This search function features bed and breakfasts, boutique properties and hotels included in major chains. You may find a discounted "Bilt rate" for certain properties, along with the nightly rate in points.

BILT
The Bilt Travel portal can be a useful way to book hotels that aren't affiliated with major chains like Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy and World of Hyatt, among others.
Once you find a property you'd like to book, you can select your preferred room type.

BILT
If you pay with a linked card, you'll earn 2 Bilt points per dollar spent on these reservations — in addition to your selected card's earning rate on such bookings.
Whether you book through the portal or elsewhere, compare loyalty program award rates to find the best deal.
Home Away from Home
The Home Away from Home program is available to members with Gold and Platinum status in Bilt's program. It features a selection of more than 2,000 luxury properties and comes with benefits such as daily breakfast for two, early check-in, late checkout, room upgrades on arrival and a $100 property credit to use toward food and drinks during your stay.
You can book Home Away from Home properties through the Bilt Travel portal, and you can make this selection when you search in the portal.

BILT
Bilt Cash and Bilt Palladium statement credits
If you have a Bilt credit card and earn Bilt Cash (up to $100 of Bilt Cash earned rolls over to the next year), you can choose to redeem $100 in Bilt Cash for a monthly Hotel credit to knock off the cost.
In addition, the Bilt Palladium Card provides a $400 Bilt Travel portal statement credit for hotel bookings made through the portal. This perk is split each calendar year biannually, so you'll receive $200 to use in the first six months of the year and $200 in the last six months.

BILT
If these options are available to you, you'll find them on the checkout page when you make your reservation.

How to book Blade helicopter rides through the Bilt Travel portal
Finally, you can book a Blade helicopter ride through the Bilt Travel portal. This option is only available on select routes, such as Manhattan to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) or Monaco to Nice, France.
Select a date, arrival time and the number of passengers to start your search.

BILT
From here, you'll see a selection of times and prices. Bilt Gold and Platinum members receive a 10% discount on Blade bookings.

BLADE
After you select a fare class, you'll see your final price and earning rate (2 Bilt points per dollar spent) for the purchase.

Should I book travel through the Bilt Travel portal?
There are times when booking through the portal makes sense, such as when:
- Award space isn't available on your preferred flight or hotel stay
- The cash price for a flight or hotel stay is low enough that redeeming through the portal would require fewer points than making a transfer
- You're booking paid nights at a boutique property that isn't tied to a brand or chain
Although you may find better rates by booking directly with the travel provider, if your plans are firm and the rates are comparable, booking through the portal can be worthwhile for earning extra points.

Reservations made through the Bilt Travel portal may be considered third-party bookings within certain loyalty programs. Because of this, you may not receive points, miles or elite status perks when you book with a particular brand. So, if you're a Hilton loyalist who wants to collect as many Hilton Honors points as possible, you may not want to book your stay through this portal.
Remember that booking through third-party sites can also lead to complications if you need to change your plans. Travel providers are generally more willing to assist you if you've booked directly with them.

Bottom line
If you're looking to earn and redeem your Bilt points, the Bilt Travel portal could be a solid option for you.
If award flight space is unavailable or you come across a low-cost fare that requires few Bilt points, booking through the portal could be a smart choice. In addition to booking flights through the portal, you can use its search functionality to analyze award space on one-way itineraries, thanks to its integration with Points Path.
When you go to book hotels, you may find a good rate or a boutique property that is best to book through the portal.
However, it's always best to compare your options to determine whether booking through the portal or transferring your Bilt points to a loyalty program partner is the better route for you.
