But beyond the coastal treasures, the province boasts rich historical and cultural sites and untapped marine sanctuaries.
Strategically located at the heart of these hidden gems is the Sotogrande Hotel and Convention Center in Bauan, Batangas.
“Our strategy is to show the other side of Batangas,” said Brett Richard Borjal, Operations Manager of Sotogrande Batangas.
The hotel exudes a mixed vibe of a luxury convention center, with well-equipped ballrooms, and a cozy family getaway where kids can enjoy the warm swimming pool surrounded by nature, or the well-guarded playroom.

Guests can avail of tour packages, including a 30-minute transport service to Taal Heritage Town, home to the towering 15th-century Minor Basilica of St. Martin of Tours. The Catholic Church is considered the biggest in Asia. Tourists can enjoy walking through the historic town, where ancestral homes and Filipiniana boutiques are located.
The hotel also offers a guided tour to the Bauan Marine Sanctuary to discover the less-traveled part of Batangas, and a group hike to Mt. Gulugod Baboy.

Borjal said the property is positioned to provide premium rest and relaxation for business executives traveling through the upcoming Bauan International Port.
At the same time, the hotel is ideal for corporate events, team-building, conferences for provincial town leaders, and staff.
Borjal said the hotel currently has 142 rooms, but will soon expand to 180 rooms to meet the growing demand

Sotogrande Batangas advocates for sustainability, which is deeply integrated into its daily operations.
He said the hotel installed an EV charging station to give EV vehicle owners comfort when driving to nearby tourist attractions.
Some of the sustainability practices at Sotogrande Hotel include: using in-room water in glass bottles; installing pumps for shampoo and body wash instead of plastic containers; and placing signs to request towel reuse.
