Baja Expeditions unveils upgraded San Ignacio Glamping & Luxury Camp

Baja Expeditions has announced the launch of its newly upgraded San Ignacio Glamping & Luxury Camp, now open for booking by operators and travel agents for the January – April 2026 and 2027 seasons. The camp sits on the shores of San Ignacio Lagoon in the Vizcaíno Desert, a UNESCO National Park and Biosphere Reserve, providing a sustainable base for observing the annual grey whale migration under the guidance of marine biologists.

The upgraded camp now consists of three separate pop-up desert villages. Each village has its own kitchen, dining tent and bar, and can host up to 26 travellers. Accommodation options include glamping tents and luxury units equipped with an ensuite bathroom, hot shower and full-sized bed with premium linens. Family tents offer added space and bunk beds, while solo travellers can choose between private and shared accommodation.

Beyond whale-watching excursions, guests can take part in a range of outdoor activities, including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, cycling, guided hikes with naturalists, turtle conservation initiatives, birdwatching, stargazing and spa treatments. Extended itineraries along the coast also provide opportunities to encounter whale sharks, orcas, mobula rays, sea lions and other marine species.
