In addition, theMinistry of Tourismtook the lead in organizing a series of activities aimed at boosting tourism, which took place between July and September. These events included cultural festivals, workshops, camps, and guided tours, all designed to showcase the beauty and uniqueness ofLa Rumorosa.

Among the highlights of these events were the“Ruta del Viento”off-road event, featuring more than 40 vehicles, and“Art Under the Stars in La Rumorosa,”which included music and dance performances. A particularly unique event, the“Star Party”, brought togetherastrophotographersfor a special observatory experience, offering participants the chance to view and photograph the spectacular night skies ofLa Rumorosa.

Under her leadership, significant investments have been made to improve both the infrastructure and the safety of the region, with nearly150 million pesosinvested in tourism development. Additionally, more than360 million pesoshave been allocated to projects focusing onhospitality,health, andwellness, ensuring that Baja California offers a more attractive and comfortable experience for visitors.

To further enhance the visitor experience, the state has reactivated theTourism Observatory, an initiative that had been dormant for nearly a decade. The observatory focuses on monitoring tourism activity and ensuring that tourists receive up-to-date and accurate information. The rehabilitation of the state’smobile tourist information unitsin 2024 and the renewal of the entireÁngeles Verdesvehicle fleet between 2022 and 2024 are additional examples of the commitment to improving service and safety. These efforts were supported by a9.1-million-peso investment, in collaboration with the federal government, aimed at modernizing the vehicle fleet that assists travelers across the region.

Another major initiative has been the creation of an officialdirectory of accredited tourist guides, listed on theNational Tourism Registry. This registry ensures that both domestic and international visitors have access to well-trained professionals who meet federal standards for service, expertise, and safety.

Major Events Solidify Baja California’s Global Standing

The hosting ofmajor national and international eventshas further solidifiedBaja California’sstanding as a premier tourist destination. In 2025, the state successfully hosted theTianguis Turístico de México, a significant tourism trade show, which for the first time was held as abinational event. This marks a monumental step in the state’s efforts to engage with bothnationalandinternationaltourism markets.

Moreover, the region played host to theCaribbean SeriesinMexicali,Latin America’s largest international baseball tournament. The 2025 edition was especially notable asJapanwas invited as a guest country for the first time in the event’s history, enhancingBaja California’sreputation as an international event hub.

Promotion Campaigns: Reaching New Markets

In addition to hosting events,Baja Californiahas aggressively promoted its offerings through various campaigns tailored to new market trends.
