AmaWaterways launches 2026 Latin Touch cruises for Spanish-speaking travelers

AmaWaterways unveils three new Latin Touch departures for 2026, offering fully Spanish-language river cruise experiences across Europe’s Danube and Colombia’s Magdalena River.

CALABASAS, CA – River cruise operator AmaWaterways has announced three new 2026 departures of its Latin Touch sailings, tailored specifically for Spanish-speaking travelers seeking culturally immersive experiences in Europe and Latin America.

The new departures include:

  • Melodies of the Danube (June 21–28, 2026)
  • Wonders of Colombia (October 21–28, 2026)
  • Magic of Colombia (October 31–November 7, 2026)

Each sailing integrates Spanish-language services and Latin cultural elements, extending the success of AmaWaterways’ program launched in 2022.

“Latin Touch is all about creating a truly personalized river cruise experience for our Spanish-speaking guests,” said Joao Miranda, Director of Business Development, Latin America at AmaWaterways. “Since launching the program, we’ve seen strong demand, and we’re committed to expanding it further. With one sailing through Europe and two in Colombia, the 2026 cruises promise to be unforgettable.”

Immersive Spanish-language experiences across continents

All Latin Touch sailings feature a Spanish-speaking Cruise Director, guided tours in Spanish, and menus, daily programs, and entertainment tailored to Spanish-speaking guests.

On the Melodies of the Danube, travelers will cruise from Budapest to Vilshofen aboard the new AmaSofia, launching in 2026. Highlights include Latin-inspired performances, guided city tours, cycling excursions, and local tasting experiences in destinations such as Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest.

In Colombia, guests aboard AmaMelodia and AmaMagdalena will explore the Magdalena River, sailing between Cartagena and Barranquilla. Shore excursions include visits to UNESCO World Heritage-listed Mompox, nature tours in Magangué, and village visits in Sitio Nuevo. The experience will also include a themed Latin celebration on board that reflects the region’s vibrant culture.

The Latin Touch program, first introduced by AmaWaterways in 2022, was created to meet the needs of Spanish-speaking travelers and to offer an inclusive, culturally resonant cruising experience.

The company’s river cruises combine destination-focused excursions, farm-to-table cuisine, and complimentary regional wine and beer with AmaWaterways’ signature service standards.

The 2026 Latin Touch sailings mark a continued investment in cultural inclusion and market diversification, offering Spanish-speaking travelers expanded opportunities to experience Europe’s waterways and South America’s emerging river cruise destinations.
