A New Chapter in Expedition Cruising

Set to begin its maiden voyage in April 2028, Scenic Ikon will carry up to 270 guests in absolute luxury. With 135 verandah suites ranging from 34m² to an impressive 250m², the yacht provides spacious and lavish accommodations across five decks. It meets Polar Code 6 standards, ensuring it is equipped for polar explorations, while also offering the comfort of a five-star cruise.

The yacht is designed with an Ice Class 1A Super hull, ideal for navigating icy waters, and includes some remarkable features that set it apart. Two Airbus H130-T2 helicopters will be on board, allowing for helicopter landings at exclusive sites such as golf courses, historical landmarks, and remote wilderness areas. The Scenic Ikon will also feature a custom-built Triton AVA submersible, offering guests the unique opportunity to explore underwater ecosystems, particularly in remote regions like Antarctica.

Scheduled to Begin Sailing in 2028

Construction of the Scenic Ikon is underway, with significant milestones ahead. A steel-cutting ceremony will take place in February 2025, followed by a keel-laying in May 2025. The vessel is set to be delivered by the end of 2027. As excitement builds, it’s no surprise that the inaugural voyage departing from Venice in April 2028 has already sold out, with additional departures expected to sell quickly.

The Scenic Ikon’s inaugural season will span from April 2028 to March 2029, covering 110 ports in 21 countries. This includes 26 new destinations, from the Mediterranean to the Aegean, as well as further afield to Antarctica, the Falkland Islands, the Chilean fjords, and the Cape Verde Islands.
